Today's progress

Another 10 Eldar Pirates finished. These have been on the table for far too long.
A prefector
Dragon squad leader
A nice warrior with lasgun.
These paintjobs aren't my best however in the grand scheme of things it really won't matter. 11 more to go and the infantry is finished, then on to a pair of war walkers, 5 dreadnoughts, 10 jetbikes, ghost warriors.
No es bueno.
Thanks for stopping by.

  2. They look greta, you're quite courageous to get all the infantry done at once, I wouldn't be able to do it !
Maybe you can squeeze a character or ghost warriors ni between just to paint somethig else ? ;)
Can't wait to see group shots !

    1. You wouldn't be able to do it? I find that hard to believe Sir! Once I have the next 5 done I'm going to change gears to a ghost warrior in a stealth scheme, something to invigorate my painting the way it was with my Skaven. Sigh.

    1. Cheers, I wanted something different, a shame I had to cut the foot tabs off in a lot of cases.

  5. These look fantastic! I love the color scheme you came up with for these guys. Can't wait to see them wading into the fight supported by their (5!) dreadnoughts!

    1. Thanks Mr Mouse, the execution could be a lot better, hopefully it will improve on the last 10 of them. I'm looking forward to laying some paint on the dreads big time! They are the best dreads in rogue trader!

  7. I really like the way you're doing the faces. I really admire that style where the recesses of the face are very dark (sometimes even black). It's very dramatic and makes the miniatures look like the line drawings from an old White Dwarf. I wish I could do that style myself, but it never turns out for me. So I hope you have lots more helmet-less Eldar to come.

    1. Thanks Sully,
The method is dead simple, the effect is not what's as intended however I'm pleased with the result, the eyes especially.

  8. There's something pleasingly glam metal about those old Eldar sculpts! Good job.

    1. Thanks Ben, I think the skin tight mesh armour, slender weapon profiles and chain-mail boot lifts contribute to but of a metro feel. I was sorely tempted to paint their Mohawks in a more punk colour scheme but I want a very uniform colour scheme across the entire army.
I will be adding in a couple of ginger haired figures, I can't bring myself to do head swaps on classic rogue trader figures so I will settle for different hair colours on matching figs.
Having a gingers are also great scapegoats if something goes wrong.
