Clan Scourge; A Call to Arms

Well it's been a long road; 31 months?! but assembled before you are my finished Skaven figures in their entirety; otherwise known as Clan Scourge.
The count comes in at 255 figures and could accommodate an army between 3600-4000 points. It has been a lot of work and I'm pretty proud of it's completion.
The painting itself is to a fairly high battlefield standard, with some decent basing technique, in my opinion.
The most important thing was having the force look coherent, which it does despite the additional colour palettes used on the shock elites and plague monks.
Soon I'll post my army list and unit photos with some close ups on army characters etc.
Thanks for stopping by and for watching the army grow, comments welcome!

    1. Thanks Asslessman!
Your work has been a real inspiration, you can count on seeing an Inquisitorial Warband of my own hopefully with a bit of the flair found in yours, thanks for being a regular contributor in the comments section!

    1. Gold Leader: "It's no good. I can't maneuver!"
      Gold Five: "Stay on target."
      Gold Leader: "We're too close!"
      Gold Five: "Stay on target."
This has been my mindset since the project's inception, if I had changed gears I probably wouldn't have come back to it

    1. Thanks Mr Mouse, it does feel pretty damn good to see the army finished, however; I do feel a bit rudderless now, I've got to pick a new project else I'll slink to oblivion once fallout 4 and battlefront arrive....

  4. Well done, very well done. You should feel very pleased indeed, they look great swarming together. Now you need a battle with every single model used :D *Throws food scraps into the throng*

  5. Whoa that would be an undertaking, Skaven are a real grinder to play, you don't get the fear checks that route entire flanks, nor do you get the heroes that can swoop in and route a unit on their own.
I'd have to set a weekend aside; after three hours of playing I just want to drink beer and shoot the shit, the game would have to come to a close over brunch on the Sunday, with mimosas of course!
It would be magnificent though to see 8,000 points on the table, just keep those pansy broken wood elves the hell away from me.

  6. CONGRATULATIONS! This is something worthy of Warhammer Armies, from back in the day. In fact, I hope you publish a 3000 point army list, sort of like the one from that book. It would be interesting to see how yours differs from Pete Taylor's iconic line-up.
Seeing the whole Clan together is really incredible. I hope you celebrate this big accomplishment somehow. 31 months in the making...

  7. Thanks Sully, as the only follower I have that has seen the army in person I value your input greatly!
I plan on doing an army list very soon with a photo of each entry a la war hammer armies, there will be a fair degree of separation between mine and Taylor's as I believe he was in actual competitive win at all cost games where as mine is more of a casual, have some fun but not lie down for a kicking style force.
    Soon my Gobbo chum, soon!
